Our Recruitment and Selection Process

After you've made your application online, we'll review your application to see if you meet the relevant criteria for the apprenticeship scheme.

If your online application is of interest, you will be asked to complete a short video interview to give us a better feel for you and your reasons for choosing Wesleyan.

If successful, we'll invite you to our one-day assessment centre, which will include the following:
  • Ice Breaker
  • Group Exercise
  • Interview

You will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Have grades A to C in Maths, English and 3 other subjects, or on track to achieve those grades.
  • Excellent grammar and spelling
  • Be able to commit to an 18 month apprenticeship

We look for the following personal qualities from our Apprentices:

  • High level of commitment & enthusiasm
  • Able to work as a team
  • Eager to learn
  • Thinking outside the box

  1. How long will the scheme last? 
    18 Months
  2. What Qualifications?
    GCSE'S or equivalent A to C in English, Maths and 3 other subjects, 3 A Levels or equivalent
  3. What documents do I need to bring to assessment centre?
    Certificates, Application Form, Passport or birth certificate and NI Card
  4. What do I wear for the Assessment Centre?
    Formal work attire
  5. Do I need to prepare for the Assessment Centre?
    Yes - think of some examples from school or work where you have worked in a team, with customers and managed your time to complete a piece of work/project
  6. How quickly will I know? 
    Once the advert closes there are several stages to the recruitment process. On average, we let all candidates know whether they have been accepted onto the scheme within a month of the advert closing
  7. When will I start?
    Usually around the second week in September, however this can change
  8. How much will I get paid?
    £13,650 per annum
  9. What happens at the end of the programme?
    If you successfully complete the apprenticeship, you will graduate in to a suitable permanent role within the society
